Welcome. I offer couples counselling in Geneva, Switzerland – either online or in-person – to all couples, regardless of sexual orientation or gender.
What is couples counselling?
Couple, or relationship, counselling is a form of therapy which acknowledges the primacy of our most intimate relationships to our sense of individual wellbeing.
You might turn to therapy in response to a particular incident, or because of a gradual feeling of stalemate in your relationship.
You may be stuck in repetitive and destructive ways of communicating with your partner.
You and your partner might seek help to make sense of these patterns and, ultimately, to find a way of being together that feels more constructive and less destructive.
Why come to couples counselling?
People come to counselling for a variety of reasons, including:
- Communication difficulties,
- Commitment issues,
- Money problems,
- Issues with intimacy and sex,
- Relationships with family of origin,
- Job loss,
- Strain of migration, immigration and upheaval,
- Fertility issues,
- Bereavement or illness,
- Separation and/or divorce.

Once we have made contact by email, I would usually suggest an assessment session to explore further what brings you both to couples counselling and for you to get a sense of how I work. If at the end of this session we agree to work together, we would normally meet on a weekly basis.
